You can then go a step further and use the system created for the police – The NMPR (National Mobile Property Register). This is a secure, Home Office Approved, database onto which you can create your own account, with access restricted by password, and keep the IDs of your property on it. Use of the database is FREE.
The police can check any ID on a property they find and see who it really belongs to. So even if you are on holiday and don’t yet know you have burgled, the police can still check the ownership of items they find.
Our security packs provide you with everything you need:
· Anti-Tamper ID tags. Each of these tags has a unique ID and is simple to fix onto any item but very difficult to remove.
· Warning signs. Whilst ultra-violet post coding may get your item back, it won’t deter the thief. Deterrent requires obvious marking which is why the clearly visible Anti-Tamper tags are so effective. The addition of specific warning signs which you can put in windows or on doors or gates helps to deter thieves.
· Microchips for covert ID. These chips are the same standard as those used to identify over 5 million cats and dogs in the UK. Each is as small as a grain of rice and can be super-glued to any item to give an extra ID.
· Home Registration Form. So you can keep a note of your account details and items registered on the NMPR (www.immobilise.com).
Warning signs are included in the Home and Saddle security packs; RFID chips are included in all except the Golf security packs.
